In her role, Matulja oversees significant projects that have a lasting impact on Ohio University and its Bobcats. Her work includes managing occupancy through a recruitment and retention lens, overseeing departmental key management, and supporting commuter and off-campus experiences, including an established partnership with Riverpark to master lease 667 beds off campus during the last four years of high housing occupancy.

Her colleague and nominator, Kim Rouse, shared, “Johnna is a fantastic campus partner, a visionary and a supportive leader of her business operations team. She is honest, direct, caring and engaging. She is thorough, always willing to explain processes, and consistently does what is best for students.”

In her role, Troyer leads OHIO’s comprehensive reimplementation of the Slate CRM, one of the most transformative projects of her career. She guided the strategy and led a cross-functional team to reimagine longstanding processes in partnership with Enrollment Management, the Office of Information Technology, and University Communications and Marketing. She also served on the implementation team for the President’s Opportunity Promise Award and led the consolidation of the Athens and regional campuses’ Slate instances, aligning recruitment capabilities and streamlining undergraduate admissions.

Her colleague and nominator shared: “Katie has devoted tremendous time and effort to ensure the reimplementation stayed on track and was completed on schedule. This work required exceptional attention to detail. She has also served as a mentor to staff throughout the project, leading multiple trainings and meetings. Katie is also a proud Bobcat alumna.”
