Annual employee compliance training launches in August

Beginning in August 2026, Ohio University will launch a university-wide annual compliance training campaign that brings most required employee compliance training into a coordinated annual cycle.

The initiative implements Policy 40.130 and is designed to make required training more consistent, easier to manage, and less disruptive throughout the year.

In August, employees will be assigned all required training assignments through Canvas with a completion deadline of Nov. 15.

  • The annual campaign includes core training topics such as Cybersecurity, Hazing Prevention and Title IX.
  • Some specialized training will continue to be offered outside the annual campaign window as needed to comply with legal or regulatory deadlines.

By consolidating compliance training into a predictable annual schedule, Ohio University aims to reduce duplicate training requests, improve completion tracking and reporting, strengthen institutional compliance, and make it easier for employees to understand and meet their training obligations.
