Diabetes Prevention Program beginning in August 2026
If you or someone you love has prediabetes or you have been told you are at risk for diabetes, you may want to plan to join Ohio University’s Diabetes Institute for Prevent T2, a yearlong lifestyle change program. Classes will start in August 2026.
The program will feature weekly sessions with a trained lifestyle coach to help you lose weight, increase energy, sleep better and manage stress. The program will be held virtually.
Research shows that this program can help those with prediabetes reduce their risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 58%.
The Ohio University Diabetes Institute asks all those interested in participating join an information session to help you understand the program and eligibility requirements. To register and get a link, contact Stacy Wright at wrights3@ohio.edu.
