Ohio University Libraries appoints Haley Shaw as Regional Higher Education coordinator and library manager

Ohio University Libraries is pleased to announce that Haley Shaw will be taking on the new role of regional coordinator and manager of Library Services, effective August 3, 2026.

Shaw has served as the manager of Library Services at the Zanesville Campus Library since October 2024, delivering, managing, and assessing services, as well as providing curricular and research support on the Zanesville and Zane State College campuses. Shaw also focused on affordable learning initiatives, OER, and integrating library content into Canvas.

Her new position will continue to report through Learning Services, while additionally helping to foster a supportive working and learning environment, and advance cross-regional collaboration in communication, instructional approaches and daily operations. Shaw will coordinate regional library operations across the five regional libraries to ensure alignment with Learning Services priorities and to develop shared processes and communication practices.

Prior to working at Ohio University, Shaw was the Youth Services manager at the Muskingum County Library System where she managed the Youth Services team, collections, programing and budget for the system. She also worked at the University of Cincinnati CECH Library where she managed library operations and collections, and also provided library instruction. She has a history of management experience outside of libraries as a retail manager at the University of Colorado Boulder where she managed student workers and operations for various campus markets.

While she was a student at Ohio University, Shaw worked at the Music and Dance Library in Glidden Hall. During her graduate studies, she served as a graduate assistant at the Reinberger Children’s Library Center at Kent State University.

Shaw earned her Master of Library and Information Sciences from Kent State University and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio University.
