Faculty invited to Thriving in the Academy workshop series
Faculty new to Ohio University or who have been in their present position for five years or less are cordially invited to join the Thriving in the Academy workshop series.
These weekly virtual meetings, which will be held Oct. 15 through Nov. 12, will bring relatively new faculty together around the NCFDD Core Curriculum for faculty success. Topics include research productivity, healthy relationships, time management and fostering work-life balance.
Through Ohio University’s institutional membership in the NCFDD, all OHIO faculty have free access to the self-paced online presentations in the Core Curriculum. The Thriving in the Academy series builds on these resources by allowing in-person discussion, brainstorming and feedback with other faculty from across the university.
The five, 55-minute workshop sessions will meet Thursday afternoons over Teams from 2:05 – 3 p.m. Participants should register by Oct. 1.
Thriving in the Academy is sponsored by the Office of the Provost and led by Sherleena Buchman (associate dean of curriculum and academic affairs in the College of Health Sciences and Professions), and Beth Quitslund (vice provost for faculty affairs).
