Ohio University Libraries launches Research Services workshops
Ohio University Libraries is excited to announce a new workshop series highlighting library tools and services that can help support students and faculty throughout every stage of the research process.
Experts from Library Research Services will introduce a variety of resources in this series of hands-on hybrid workshops held in Alden Library 251 and on Microsoft Teams.
From managing citations to navigating open-access publishing, the concepts and tools explored in these workshops will be relevant to researchers of any level or subject background. Thesis, capstone, and dissertation writers are particularly encouraged to attend.

Citation Management with Zotero: Sept. 9, 3-4 p.m. in Alden 251 and on Teams
Get to know Zotero, a free citation management program supported by Ohio University Libraries. Experts from Library Research Services will help you get started with Zotero, explain how the tool can benefit your research and answer your questions in this hands-on workshop.
Scholarly Identity Management: Sept. 24, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. in Alden 251 and on Teams
Build your public scholarly identity with support and tools from University Libraries. Experts from Library Research Services will explain core concepts of scholarly identity management, introduce ORCID and answer your questions in this hands-on workshop.
Emerging AI Tools for Research: Oct. 6, 2-3 p.m. in Alden 251 and on Teams
Learn how AI-powered tools are beginning to impact the research process. Experts from Library Research Services will update you on recent developments in AI-powered search in academic databases and OHIO's Library Catalog, introduce Consensus, an AI tool for academic research, and answer your questions in this hands-on workshop.
Open Access Publishing: Oct. 19, 10-11 a.m. in Alden 251 and on Teams
Discover opportunities to publish your research as open access through University Libraries. Experts from Library Research Services will explain the benefits of open access publishing, introduce the Ohio Open Library and the Article Processing Cost funding program, and answer your questions in this hands-on workshop.
