Free mediation training for students, faculty, staff offered during fall semester

Athens Area Mediation Service is offering free mediation training to all Ohio University students, faculty and staff.

The 15-hour training will be offered over the course of five Friday mornings from 9 a.m. until  noon beginning Oct. 16 and going through Nov. 13.

Mediation is a structured, informal, voluntary process in which a neutral third party facilitates a conversation between people who are experiencing some kind of conflict. The skills developed in this training can be applied both in a traditional mediation setting or can help with any situation in which individuals must navigate conflict.

While the training is free to all OHIO students, faculty and staff, there is a charge of $200 for those not affiliated with Ohio University.

You can register for the trainings and find more information here.
