Candace Boeninger named interim Vice Provost for Enrollment Management at Ohio University

Executive Vice President and Provost Chaden Djalali, today, announced that Candace Boeninger has been named interim Vice Provost for Enrollment Management at Ohio University effective September 16, 2019. This news follows Craig Cornell’s announced plans to step down from his role as Ohio University’s Senior Vice Provost for Enrollment Management.

Boeninger, who has served in several key roles in the office of undergraduate admissions since 2002, was most recently named Associate Vice Provost for Strategic Enrollment Management and Director of Undergraduate Admissions in October 2016.

In her time at Ohio University, Boeninger has been instrumental in effective strategies to attract, admit, enroll and retain top-notch students. Through her leadership, the undergraduate admissions staff has created new, innovative programs that have ensured a first-class experience for OHIO’s students and their families.

“Candace has served as a key leader for the University’s enrollment strategy for many years,” said Ohio University Executive Vice President and Provost Chaden Djalali. “With a keen understanding of the challenges of an uncertain admissions environment in the higher education landscape, I am grateful for Candace’s expertise and dedication to our University as she undertakes this critical, interim role.”

Craig Cornell, who became the University's first Vice Provost for Enrollment Management in May 2008, announced he will be taking on a similar role at Radford University in Virginia effective October 18, 2019.

“I am grateful to Craig for his years of service and commitment to Ohio University,” Djalali said. “He has provided steadfast leadership in the University’s enrollment management strategy for many years. We wish him well in his future endeavors.”
