OHIO MFA students present work in a variety of studio art forms in “Fourteen Seconds” exhibit

OHIO’s School of Art + Design presents “Fourteen Seconds,” an exhibition of new work from second-year graduate student Master of Fine Arts candidates in the Ohio University Art Gallery from Oct. 22 to Nov. 8.

The public will have the opportunity to meet the artists in person at a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, in the gallery, on the 5th floor of Seigfred Hall. This event is open to the public, and refreshments will be provided.

The exhibition will include a collection of works from the current second-year M.F.A. cohort, exploring different directions and demonstrating each artist’s progress in creative research. The exhibition will consist ​of a variety of ​projects featuring media and practice, including ceramics, photography, sculpture, printmaking, painting and design.

Participating artists include; Lalana Fedorschak, Ryan Embry, Emma Silverstein, Megan McCormick, Jon Ashcraft, Paige Greeley, Pylynne Myers, Bren Perez, Carmelo Amenta, Stephanie Spyker, Drew Svoboda, Yirong Zhuo, Shockley Traub and Connor Furr.

The Ohio University Art Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, and closed on Sunday.
