Employee Leave under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act notice

As part of our commitment to keeping Ohio University faculty and staff informed, University Human Resources shared this pertinent update regarding the new Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), which was signed into law on March 18 and is in effect through Dec. 31, 2020.

The FFCRA provides eligible employees with up to two weeks of emergency paid sick leave allowance through the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act and expands family and medical leave through the Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act to include allowance for eligible employees’ to care for their child(ren) whose school or place of care is closed.
