Welcome Week to feature slate of virtual events

OHIO staff are excited to welcome Bobcats to the OHIO family and help students make connections through a slate of virtual events beginning Friday, Aug. 21.

This is a time of extraordinary and rapid change that requires every Bobcat to take necessary precautions to keep themselves and one another safe, which is why this year’s Welcome Week events will take place in a virtual format.

Planned activities include a trivia night, casino party, escape room, digital caricaturist, Magic Night In, Drag Queen Bingo, the Virtual Nelsonville Music Festival, and more.

Students will connect with faculty and other students in their colleges and academic programs during the College Welcome sessions scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22 via Microsoft Teams.

On Sunday, Aug. 23, students will have the opportunity to meet their Learning Communities and ask questions while they connect with other Learning Community members. Learning Community leaders will email event invitations to students enrolled in their Learning Community prior to the event.
