Student Expo registration opens Jan. 12; live and social media options planned

Register for the Student Expo by Feb. 20; live and social media options planned

Ohio University will host the annual Student Research and Creative Activity Expo on April 7, 2022, at the Convocation Center.

This year students can participate in two ways:

• Live event at the Convo: Judging will be from 9 to 11 a.m., and the Expo will be open to the public from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• On social media: Students will be able to post text, pictures, graphics, videos, etc., on social media using the #OUStudentExpo tag @bobcatsdiscover (Twitter and Instagram).

Registration will open Jan. 12, 2022, at midnight and close on Feb. 20, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. Registration is required for the live Expo and will be capped at 600 presenters, so students wanting to participate in this option are encouraged to register early.

For students who choose to participate in the social media option, registration is also required and all registrants, online or live, will receive a Student Expo T-shirt.

“After a two-year hiatus, it will be great to have a live event option, in addition to seeing the great posts on social media,” Roxanne Malé-Brune, director of grant development and projects in the Research Division, said. “A special thank you to University Libraries for funding T-shirts and archiving the presentations through Ohio Open Library.”
