Learning Spaces Advisory Community seeks faculty and instructor feedback on classroom technology design

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) invites faculty and instructors to discuss improvements to the technical design of classrooms at the next Learning Spaces Advisory Community meeting on Wednesday, April 20, from 12:30-1:30 p.m., held in Gordy 111 and online via Teams.  The agenda will include discussion on computer configuration, hardware setup, and other design considerations for classroom technology improvements over FY23.

Along with other campus partners, OIT has been working to improve the user experience in OHIO classrooms as part of the ongoing Classroom Improvement Initiative. This initiative has sought to improve and standardize the technology experience in OIT-supported classrooms, which are available to the OHIO community regardless of college or unit affiliation.

While this initiative was underway, demand for various classroom technology features has changed in response to the pandemic and other factors. OIT is seeking input from faculty and instructors teaching in classrooms with 60 or fewer students, focusing on how the changes to the technical design of classrooms can better help faculty deliver instruction.
