Internet Explorer to be retired in June - here are tips on switching browsers

Microsoft will be retiring Internet Explorer on June 15, 2022. If you use Internet Explorer, the Office of Information Technology recommends switching to Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Chrome and Firefox are the recommended browsers for many tools, including Blackboard and Qualtrics.

To transfer bookmarks saved in Internet Explorer to a new browser, you must:

1. Export your bookmarks in Internet Explorer to a file
2. Import your bookmarks file into your new browser:
   • Import directions for Google Chrome
   • Import directions for Firefox
