Science Café features 'MythBusters: The ADHD Collection' on March 8

Ohio University's Science Café will present Julie Owens and Steven Evans discussing "MythBusters: The ADHD Collection" on Wednesday, March 8, at 5 p.m. at the Baker Center Theater on the second floor of Baker University Center and via YouTube.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affects millions of people across the globe. Yet there are still several myths and misconceptions about the disorder that create barriers to understanding the disorder, receiving high quality services, and continued public stigma related to the disorder.

Join Owens and Evans, professors of psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences and co-directors of the Center for Intervention Research in Schools, as they discuss the research that debunks these myths. As part of the café, they also will describe ways that students can get involved in center activities.

Free coffee is available for the first 50 in-person attendees.

The series is supported by the Ohio University Research Division and Ohio University Chapter of Sigma Xi.
