OHIO Testing Services provides improved high-stakes exam proctoring for students, instructors

The regional Testing Centers and OHIO's Testing Services group have launched a simplified and more integrated single exam registration system called Registerblast.

This program supports a modern and consistent student experience between campus testing locations.

Registerblast is now available to instructors requiring proctoring services for high-stakes examinations. It promotes cross-departmental collaboration, streamlining the setup and scheduling for both faculty and students. Scheduling via phones or in-person is no longer necessary.

Students will be able to schedule these exams at any OHIO testing center near their location. They can also select available accommodation. OHIO Testing centers are low distraction environments.

Those with an accommodation registered with the Student Accessibility Services (SAS) can select their accommodation(s) when registering for a test. This includes exam time-limit extensions for those who qualify.

Instructors can schedule exams from a single log-in to create tests at any Ohio University campus testing location. They can also view all submission histories from a single portal, regardless of the instructor’s current location.

Instructors interested in alternatives to the proctored assessment options are encouraged to review the Digital Toolbox: Developing Summative Assessments webpage.

Staff from the Center for Teaching, Learning and Assessment (CTLA) and the Office of Instructional Innovation are available to instructors for consultation. Their evidence-based instructional strategies can improve student learning outcomes.

For a full listing of workshops and sessions, including authentic assessment, visit CTLA Programs and Events.

More information regarding proctored examination options is available on the Office of Information Technology's Testing and Scoring webpage.
