OHIO students, faculty, staff invited to preview new Teams application

Microsoft has released a preview of a new version of the Teams app for Windows and Macs.

The Ohio University Office of Information Technology (OIT) is enabling the toggle option for the new Teams app. This means a toggle switch will appear in the upper left corner of the main Teams screen in desktop versions. 

The new Teams app is faster, simpler, and more flexible and includes features like threaded conversations with the option to have new messages appear at the top of your conversation, improved calendar management, and the ability to search within a chat thread or channel. 

Some features may be limited in this preview mode. Users can return to classic Teams during the preview period by selecting the three dots next to their profile picture and using the toggle button next to New Teams.
