Applications now being accepted for Generative AI in Teaching, Learning Faculty Fellow program
The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (CTLA) is currently accepting applications for a 2024-25 Generative AI in Teaching and Learning Faculty Fellow with program leadership and contributions to begin summer 2024.
This appointment is part of the ongoing CTLA Advancing Teaching Excellence Faculty fellows program.
Advancing Teaching Excellence Faculty Fellows promote the conceptualization of teaching excellence at Ohio University. Fellows are selected based on demonstrated expertise in the project area, as well as prior contributions and/or commitment to faculty development and scholarly teaching. They function in a leadership capacity for specific CTLA programs for which they are appointed.
The AI Faculty Fellow will work closely with the CTLA leadership team to:
- Deliver AI-enhanced Course Redesign Institutes in the summer and fall 2024.
- Develop and deliver workshops and sessions that will comprise a Teaching with AI certification.
- Promote, facilitate, and elevate conversations on AI and teaching and learning.
- Lead and review further development of robust AI and teaching and learning digital resources, including case studies and model assignments and assessments.
Eligibility
Fellows must be full-time faculty (tenured, tenure-track, or instructional) at Ohio University with a strong record of teaching excellence. Faculty members from all campuses and locations are welcome to apply.
Application
Applications are currently being accepted with a deadline of 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1. In addition to position, department, college, and campus, applicants are asked to upload an abbreviated CV (2 to 3 pages) focusing on teaching and learning activities and scholarship and a statement indicating their rationale for applying and professional experiences preparing them for this fellow position (300 to 500 words). Appointment and Stipend
CTLA Advancing Teaching Excellence Faculty Fellows are typically appointed for the academic year with a typical expectation of 4 hours per week. This appointment will include contributions during the summer for a total stipend of $7,500 paid upon completion of goals and report submission.
