Classic Microsoft Teams app set to retire

The classic Microsoft Teams application is soon retiring and will no longer be available, effective July 1, 2024.

The new Microsoft Teams application (i.e., new Teams), already in use by many at OHIO, will soon be the default for all OHIO users. This new version comes with exciting features and improvements.

The new Teams app includes features like threaded conversations with the option to have new messages appear at the top of your conversation, improved calendar management and the ability to search within a chat thread or channel. 

For users who can use the new Teams app, you may see the classic Teams app removed from your device in the coming weeks as Microsoft begins this transition.
