OHIO to host Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) Conference on April 19

The Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education will be hosting the 12th annual Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) Conference on Friday, April 19, in Patton Hall on Ohio University’s Athens Campus.

CALL Conference registration is free; the event will include a keynote presentation at 3 p.m. in the Schoonover Center and a tour of OHIO’s eSports facility in Scripps Hall at 4 p.m. A special closing event will take place at Jackie O’s Brewpub in Uptown Athens at the conclusion of the conference.

The conference’s keynote presentation will feature Dr. Ana Oskoz, the associate dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where she teaches courses in Spanish and second language acquisition. Her research focuses on the use of technology for second language learning and second language acquisition.

This conference is also being supported by the Ohio Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (OH TESOL).
