WellWorks aims to create a comfortable gym environment with new student-led workshop

Ohio University’s WellWorks has announced a new workshop, “Gym Basics,” which will be held on July 31.
Designed to teach how to properly utilize fitness equipment and the various ways it can be helpful, the one-time workshop will be led by Kristen Vulgamore, a senior who is majoring in exercise physiology. Vulgamore, who is also a WellWorks personal trainer, will teach participants how to navigate a typical gym setting to ensure individuals feel comfortable in the gym and have the ability to add versatility to their workouts.
The one-hour workshop will take place at the WellWorks Wellness Center (Grover Center E124) on Wednesday, July 31, at 5:30 p.m. Cost to participate is $10.
Registration occurs online through the WellWorks portal (OHIO employees should use the SSO to log-in), and space is limited.
