It's official: There's no place like Homecoming
From joining friends and family to relive the college experience and swap stories, to the Homecoming parade and a big OHIO Football victory, every part of Homecoming 2024 lived up to the hype of a week-long celebration that immersed Bobcats (both new and old) in everything Ohio University has to offer.

Last week, those across the Bobcat family had their wish granted as a multitude of students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members returned to campus September 23-28 to join together and revel in a week like no other – OHIO Homecoming.
Welcome home, Bobcats!
For students, alumni, and OHIO fans of all ages, the Homecoming parade is the premier place to be on Saturday morning. From the sounds of the world-famous Marching 110 and the larger-than-life alumni band, to the colorful floats and a personal wave from Rufus, the event will forever connect OHIO's past and present across the bricks – at the College Gate, on Court Street and beyond.

A Homecoming for the record books
Embracing the Bobcat Spirit
In a very short time, university campuses become more than a home for students; they are stepping stones to success. Many alumni, after making their mark on the world, look for ways to give back to the place that gave them their start and leave a legacy for students to come.
The Ohio University Alumni Association's annual Alumni Awards event recognizes those alumni who are making significant contributions across OHIO – both on and off campus. This year's annual Homecoming event invited fellow alumni to celebrate the newest cohort on Sept. 27, which included OUAA's 2024 Alumnus of the Year, Dell Robinson, BSPE ’88.

A week full of memories and experiences
It was truly a week like no other.
One of the most popular Homecoming Week festivities, the Yell Like Hell Pep Rally, presented by the Student Alumni Board took place at the Scripps Amphitheater on Friday night before the parade and game.
The event, featuring yard games, a photo booth, and live music by the Laughing Chimes, channeled enthusiasm and a love of everything Ohio University that drew current and former students, as well as OHIO faculty, staff, and area residents together to kick off the Homecoming weekend celebrations.
Best of all, the special guests included Marching 110, the OHIO Football team and the one and only Rufus!
A historical walk across the bricks
The Archives display at Alden Library showcased numerous pieces of Ohio University history that rekindled memories for a broad range of alumni and visitors throughout the week.
The display included yearbooks, student newspapers, posters, sports programs, memorabilia and many other interesting historical items that showcased more than 200 years of rich OHIO history.
