Division of Student Affairs recognizes staff in end of year celebration

On a sunny afternoon in early May, the Division of Student Affairs gathered on the Ping Recreation Center patio to celebrate the end of another impactful academic year.

The event honored the commitment, collaboration and care that staff across the division bring to supporting the student experience at Ohio University.

Vice President for Student Affairs Lyn Redington opened the celebration by expressing gratitude for a year of meaningful work.

“I feel so fortunate to serve our amazing students and work with such an incredible team of professionals,” she shared, recognizing the efforts of staff who closed residence halls, fed students and guests, supported commencement, and cared for students throughout the year.

The event also recognized a group of exceptional staff members with annual Division Awards. With over 265 nominations submitted — more than double last year’s total — the selection process reflected just how much staff contributions are valued across the OHIO community.
