
OHIO posts new draft policy for community review

Ohio University’s Executive Staff Policy Committee has placed a new draft policy on the University Policy Management website.
All members of the University community are invited to review and provide feedback on draft policies that are posted on the University Policy Management website (OHIO login required.)
All policies on this website are posted for a 30-day comment period. Individuals wishing to offer feedback on are asked to send their comments to policy@ohio.edu and include the name of the policy in the email subject line.
The following draft policy was posted for community review on July 21, 2025:
- Draft - 49.001: Conflict of Interest and Conflict of Commitment - The purpose of this policy is to define standards and expectations for employees to recognize and responsibly manage conflicts of interest and commitment in compliance with federal and state ethics laws. This policy affirms the University’s commitment to ethical behavior by all employees, protects the University’s resources and reputation and maintains public trust by ensuring that all activities are conducted with integrity and transparency.
Earlier in July, the Executive Staff Policy Committee placed another draft policy onto the website for review.
- 40.051 - Declaring an Emergency Closure, Early Release, or Delay- This policy provides guidance for declaring an emergency university closing, early release, or delay and establishes guidelines for the compensation of classified and administrative employees during an emergency.
