Cybersecurity Awareness Month - Helping you understand phishing, try this virtual game, help OHIO win CyberMania

We have entered the final week of celebrating the 22nd anniversary of Cybersecurity Awareness Month with more informational content and games for Ohio University, students, faculty and staff.

We will continue to explore the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's Four Easy Ways to Stay Safe Online and expand on this guidance with the week’s activities. 

Cybersecurity Article of the week: Guide to Understanding Phishing and Social Engineering at OHIO

Phishing and Social Engineering are common ways that bad actors try to get access to systems and personal information. In this article, we will explore what you can do to protect yourself against these tactics.

Virtual Game of the Week: Catch the Phish

In this game, test your skills at identifying phishing messages and be entered to win a prize from the Information Security Office. You can play the game here.

Oct. 29 Cybersecurity Coffee Chat: Dive into Phishing

Join a virtual session from 8:30–10 a.m. and take a deeper dive into social engineering by recognizing phishing and learning how you can protect yourself against these types of attacks. Be sure to register online to reserve your spot.  

Help OHIO beat Miami in the Third Annual CyberMania Competition 

Help prove that Bobcats are cyber smart by completing a short 5 question survey about your confidence with cybersecurity concepts. The school with the most participants wins, and all participants will be entered into a drawing to win a prize from the Information Security Office.
