The concept of “sustainability” is a big umbrella, covering everything from buildings to butterfly gardens. On the most recent episode of “Ask the Experts,” Sam Crowl, OHIO’s director of sustainability, joins us to discuss the University’s many sustainability initiatives and to share tips for how we can live more eco-friendly lives.
In this episode, Crowl describes how OHIO’s Sustainability and Climate Action Plan functions in the daily life of the University community; provides an update on OHIO’s ecohouse, where students can live full-time and create sustainability projects like pollinator gardens; and shares his own personal tips for living a more sustainable life.
“The idea,” Crowl says, “is not just to save the earth, but to save it as a community of people.”
