OHIO employees invited to sign up for biometric health screenings

Biometric health screening appointments are now available at Ohio University.

Benefits-participating employees and their benefits-enrolled spouses/partners who participate in the screenings can earn $60* each on an upcoming pay slip.

A biometric health screening is an assessment of your blood pressure, BMI, cholesterol levels and glucose.

These screenings help you to identify early risk factors for chronic conditions like heart disease and diabetes.  Blood is taken from a quick finger stick and the appointment takes roughly 10-15 minutes.

The School of Nursing will facilitate on-campus screening events on the Athens and regional campuses.

If you are unable to attend an on-campus event, you may have your physician complete appropriate lab work and submit a Physician Screening Form.

*Be Well OHIO incentives are taxed as income and will appear on the pay slip of the benefits-carrier. Please note that it can take up to one quarter from the conclusion of the benefit offering for a payout to appear.
