Ohio University’s Chubu University Relations Committee is now accepting applications for the 47th Kohei Miura Visiting Professorship, named in honor of the founder of Chubu University.
When asked to use one word to describe his experience as the 2023 Kohei Miura visiting professor with Chubu University, Jacob Lee Hiler, Ph.D., said it would be “tomodachi” (the Japanese word for “friends”).
Akihisa Hamabuchi is one of the few OHIO alumni who carry degrees from both OHIO and Chubu universities. He and his wife Yukie describe their memories of their time together at the University.
