Center for Entrepreneurship to host market and reception in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week
Ohio University's Center for Entrepreneurship is proud to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week with a StartUp Market hosted in the CoLab in Alden Library 301 on Nov. 14.
From 3-6 p.m., all members of the University community are invited to browse the market to see and shop the incredible talent right in our area and network with the community of entrepreneurs while enjoying entertainment by DJ A-Roc and complimentary local food and drink. Participants have the opportunity to hear from vendors about their businesses, purchase early holiday gifts, and celebrate entrepreneurship and small businesses.
Local and student entrepreneurs from a wide variety of business types will have booths displaying their goods and services. Vendors include B.B.C Chicken N’ Waffles, Baubles and More, Chlo’s Studio, Ethereal Oblivion, FriedTiiger, ILAshBarbieee, LightScreen.art, Mekenzie’s Cupcakes, Art by Michaelangelo, New Leaf Marketplace and many more.
“We are really excited to have the opportunity to showcase local student, alumni and community entrepreneurs,” said Krystal Geyer, assistant director of the Center for Entrepreneurship. “Many of our students are doing exceptional things, but often lack the opportunity to share the work they do outside the classroom. We hope StartUp Market inspires creators to leverage support offered by the Center for Entrepreneurship.”
In addition to the market, a happy hour will begin at 4 p.m. Drink tickets will be provided to attendees over the age of 21 to receive beverages from Jackie O’s and Pleasant Hill Winery.
Pre-registration is not required but encouraged; those who pre-register will be entered into a drawing to win one of several $50 gift cards to be used at the event. To enter to win, RSVP at this website.
