Sign up for Spring Thesis/Dissertation Boot Camp

Ohio University Graduate College, Writing Commons, and University Libraries are pleased to offer the Thesis and Dissertation Boot Camp on Saturday, Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Schoonover 450 and online.

Boot Camp is an opportunity for students currently writing theses or dissertations to set writing goals, practice disciplined writing habits, learn new strategies, investigate University support, and connect with other thesis and dissertation writers, as well make progress on their writing. 

The day-long program will include a limited number of speakers, opportunities for individual consultations with writing tutors, librarians, and staff from the office of Thesis and Dissertation Services, a panel of recent OHIO graduates, and blocks of writing time. Opportunities to join informal writing groups will be available.

Any graduate student engaged in thesis or dissertation writing is welcome to register. Boot Camp will also be available via MS Teams, but attendees are encouraged to attend in person, if possible. Lunch will be served for those attending on-site.

Those interested in attending are asked to register by Jan. 27.
