OHIO alumni can support students and food security at Bobcat networking event in Cincinnati; opportunity to win Bengals merchandise

The Ohio University’s College of Business – Society of Alumni and Friends (SAF) will host its second annual Bobcat Networking Celebration on April 20, 2023, at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati from 5-8 p.m. This event will feature a variety of student and alumni speakers, a keynote address from The Joe Burrow Foundation, and an opportunity for attendees to win autographed Cincinnati Bengals merchandise.

“As the Society of Alumni and Friends (SAF), we serve as the alumni network of The College of Business at Ohio University. Continuing our event strategy, we are excited to welcome The Joe Burrow Foundation and regional Bobcat Alumni to support our mission of empowering opportunities by connecting ambitious students to passionate Bobcat alumni,” Patrick Kelley,’19, College of Business SAF president, said.

A networking reception will begin at 5 p.m. with a welcome delivered shortly after 6 p.m. The kickoff will feature a performance from Ohio University’s Marching 110 and a welcome from Ohio University President Hugh Sherman, along with recognition of the 2022 SAF Pitch Competition Winner, the Multicultural Student Business Caucus.

Robin and Jimmy Burrow of The Joe Burrow Foundation will provide the keynote address.

“As longtime residents of Athens, Ohio, and having a deep history with Ohio University, we have developed a great relationship with OU over the years,” Robin and Jimmy Borrow said in a statement. “When the SAF presented us with the opportunity to keynote the second Annual Bobcat Networking Celebration and join them (SAF) as a co-beneficiary of the event, we were excited to learn more. With the event taking place in Cincinnati, this is a fantastic opportunity to join regional Bobcat alumni and bring further awareness to the mission of our foundation: to provide resources and support to the underprivileged and underserved."

The keynote will be followed by an Executive Bobcat Alumni Panel moderated by Emmy award-winning, former sports director of WCPO, John Popovich, ’73.

The cost of attending the event is $60 and includes hors d’oeuvres, one complimentary drink, stadium parking, and entry into a raffle to win Cincinnati Bengals merchandise, featuring autographed gear from your favorite Cincinnati Bengals players.

The Society of Alumni and Friends and The Joe Burrow Foundation are co-beneficiaries in the proceeds of the event.

The Society of Alumni and Friends exists to connect students and College of Business alumni.
