Streamlined research compliance: Cayuse updates for Ohio University

Starting Aug. 1, 2024, Ohio University will launch its first annual campaign for outside interest disclosures via Cayuse, our electronic research administration (eRA) software.  All individuals with the following roles will be prompted to submit an annual disclosure by Sept. 15, 2024:

  • Principal Investigator
  • Co-Principal Investigator
  • Co-Investigator
  • Investigator
  • Fellow
  • Mentor

These individuals will receive an email from Cayuse on or around Aug. 1, 2024, with detailed instructions on how to proceed.

Investigators not included in the annual campaign, who must submit a disclosure after Aug. 1, will be instructed to do so in Cayuse.

Cayuse offers a consolidated annual disclosure form that integrates multiple disclosures, allowing updates at any time. This improvement over the previous system, LEO, streamlines the process for the Division of Research, and helps ensure compliance with funding agency requirements.

For guidance on submitting and updating your annual disclosure, visit the Cayuse Outside Interests website for helpful guides and tutorials.

Sponsored projects update

Work continues on the Cayuse Sponsored Projects module, set to replace the current Service Center, Transmittal, and Award processes in LEO. Implementation of this new module is planned for Fall 2024.
