Candid now available via University Libraries
Candid, an online directory of 1.9 million nonprofits offering $29 million in grants, is now available via the Ohio University Libraries.
A combined collection of the Foundation Directory and GuideStar, Candid helps you find grant opportunities for your project, locate funders who have supported your peers, search for grants in your community and beyond, calculate your ask based on grant data, and get contact details on key decision makers.
“Budget headwinds and inflation have made it more important than ever to find alternative or supplemental funding sources,” said Rob Ross, dean of University Libraries. “The libraries want to connect researchers and community organizations with funding sources they might not otherwise know about.”
Candid enables you to easily look up nonprofits by:
- Subject area
- Geographic area served
- Population served
- Financials
- Demographics
Candid will be available to any community member, whether affiliated with Ohio University or not.
“The Engage pillar of our Dynamic Strategy affirms OHIO’s commitment to the region and its people,” Ross said. “Candid can bolster the wonderful work our community nonprofits do by helping them secure additional funding.”
