When the former president was laid to rest, Gray was chosen as one of the Carter family’s official photographers, capturing the funeral from an intimate perspective. With exclusive access, this OHIO grad and accomplished photojournalist documented a moment of national remembrance, preserving Carter’s farewell for history. Here, he tells his story.
